How To Go From Istanbul Airport To Sultanahmet ?There are several ways to travel from Istanbul main airport to Sultanahmet. We recommend using a private pick up service, previously booked. There is no metro line yet from Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet but only one official shuttle bus service called Havaist.

Havaist Bus Shuttle ServiceThere are buses from Istanbul Airport to every corner of the city. From the arrivals hall, go down to level -2 and the new Havaist buses will be outside. Bus fares from Istanbul Airport are approx. 6 euro and you can pay directly to the driver (he will arrive at your seat before departure).

Taxi (Cab)It costs around 25Euro (excluding highway and bridge fees) to Sultanahmet, You can take one of the airport taxis at the exit and re check by asking to driver the cost approximately. The trip will take around 1.5 hours depends on the traffic
City BusThe cheapest way to get from the airport to the city center is by taking the E10 and E11 bus lines to Kadıköy (city center on the Asian side), from there you can take a ferry to Eminönü and then take a taxi. To get to the Hostel, you can walk for about 20 minutes or you can take the tram to Sultanahmet station and walk to the Hostel in a few minutes..
MetroFrom the Airport go to M4 metro line, to Tavşantepe station, with this line you will travel to Ayrılıkçeşmesi station (17 stations) than from there take the Marmaray metro line to Sirkeci station (only one station) from there it is walking distance to the Hostel (15 minutes around)
Havabus Airport ServiceHavabus airport bus Company run every half an hour (24 hours) to two points in the city center. It goes to Taksim and to Kadıköy. It is an economic way to go to city center (about 5 euro). Kadıköy is easier to arrive to the Hostel, from Kadıköy you can take a ferry to cross to the Europeen part than a tram to Sultanahmet station, from there it is around 10 minutes wailking distance to the Hostel. If you take the service to Taksim from there easiest way is taking a taxi to the Hostel which will cost around 7 euro. Or you can take funicular metro line from Taksim to Kabataş and a tram to Sultanahmet station.
BUS STATION
How To Go From Bus Station – Otogar To Sultanahmet ?Metro
You'll need two tokens to travel from Esenler Otogar to Sultanahmet. You can easily see the board a Metro train for Aksaray, so you should be sure about the Aksaray way train—there are 2 ways. Get out at Aksaray, the 7th stop. Exit the Metro train and purchase an Istanbulkart transit pass for all kind of public transportation or use another token to enter Yusufpaşa tram stop turnstiles on the next (paralel) street. Look for trams marked Eminönü or Kabataş (not Bağcılar) Board the tram to Eminönü and/or Kabataş. Ride the tram eastbound to Sultanahmet, the 5th stop (the recorded station-stop announcement says ” Blue Mosque/Sultanahmet” and get out.
You'll be on Divan Yolu street at the northeastern end of the Hippodrome with the Blue Mosque clearly in view. Follow the tram line down (passing several restaurants on the left and the Information Office on the right) to the Intersection and traffic lights; cross over to the right and enter the courtyard between St. Sophia on your left and the Blue Mosque a little further on your right.Go all the way through the courtyard and turn to your right at the end. Take the first left at the taxi stop and follow the street all the way down passing the Four Seasons Hotel on the left ...walk down and then end of the street turn right you will see on the left Antique Hostel & Guesthouse sign. How To Go From Sirkeci Train Station To Sultanahmet ?Take tram which goes to the left way at the main street in front of train station and 5 minutes after you will arrive Sultanahmet tram stop. (2nd stop) Follow the tram line down (passing several restaurants on the left and the Information Office on the right) to the Intersection and traffic lights; cross over to the right and enter the courtyard between St. Sophia on your left and the Blue Mosque a little further on your right.Go all the way through the courtyard and turn to your right at the end. Take the first left at the taxi stop and follow the street all the way down passing the Four Seasons Hotel on the left ...walk down and then end of the street turn right you will see on the left Antique Hostel & Guesthouse sign.
